Tasmania Roadtrip - Week 4 - Echidna

Not far from Lake St Clair visitor centre we spotted an echidna busy digging up ants to eat. They were the large ants that sting so I guess that means they have no feeling in their stiff snout. Their mouth is on the underside of this 7cm long snout and they have sharp spines covering their backs.
